Joyce M. McCarty

     Joyce M. McCarty, 99, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. 

     Born January 18, 1926 in Williamsport, she was a daughter to the late Earl W. Ritter and the former Sara B. Sherly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren B. "Pat" McCarty on November 20, 2013, and a brother, Thomas. 

     Joyce a graduate of Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia and later received her BSN from Stockton College. For many years she was a member of the Eastern Star and Order of Amaranth. 

     She is survived by a son, Patrick S. McCarty, of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Beverly A. Myers, of Montoursville; and a half brother, David Ritter, of Trout Run. 

     A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Cline will officiate. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com
