Judy E. Nilsson

     Judy E. Nilsson, 79, of Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

     Born August 26, 1944 in Fresno, CA, she was the daughter to Robert I. Corl and the former Sarah E. Wheeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elden J. (Buzz) Nilsson on August 23, 2023. They were united in marriage on June 20, 1964.

     Judy worked as a teller at Jersey Shore State Bank for many years. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Walnut Street Christian School store, gardening, and playing the flute. She also volunteered her time as a Sunday School teacher.

     She is survived by her two sons, Eric J. (Jennifer) Nilsson of Mill Hall and Bryan K. (Angela) Nilsson of Everett, PA; and five grandchildren. 

     A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland Street, Avis. A visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
