Karen Lynn (Ritter) Agrippine

     Karen Lynn (Ritter) Agrippine, 54, of Waterville, passed away on Dec. 7, 2021, at her home.
     She was born in Philadelphia on Aug. 16, 1967.  She grew up in Coopersburg, Pa. and graduated from Southern Lehigh High School in 1985. Karen became an RN and worked as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. She worked at St. Christopher Hospital for children in Philadelphia, then worked at Muhlenberg Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., where she helped establish the Pediatric Oncology Unit. She was an integral part in the lives of children with Cancer and was a beacon of light to the families in the midst of their stories. Karen worked tirelessly to be sure it was one of the strongest programs in the whole country. She also established herself as one of the top Pediatric Oncology Nurses ever with love and respect from her colleagues.
     In 2013, Karen and her family moved to Waterville and she became a clinical director at Bayada Home Health Care in Williamsport. She was an educator for the younger nurses and taught many classes to benefit the staff and Bayada in general. She was a mentor for many and her enthusiasm and constant caring showed always.
     Karen had a great love of dogs. She and her husband Mike established a biscuit making business which had been a very successful operation and many dog owners were very thankful. She had two dogs at home, Murphy and Finny, who love her and will miss her very much. It is very easy to see by how someone treats a dog, what kind of a person they are. Her dogs were treated like children.
     She had a love of cooking and was a fabulous cook. Without using recipes, she just knew how to put food together. She always said making food for others was how she showed love. If thats the case, she loved many, very much. Karen carefully crafted meals that each individual she would serve it to would enjoy. Being a very creative in general, Karen sewed blankets and made shirts and hats. She was also very good at taking pictures, before cell phone days.
     She enjoyed music, and appreciated and made artwork. Karen loved the outdoors and spent many hours in contentment in her backyard just watching the animals and gazing at the lovely mountains of Waterville.
     Karen is survived by her husband, Michael; sister and brother-in-law,  Manny and Kathy Cruz; parents, Joann and Carl Ritter; niece and nephew, Andy and Cassandra Ketterrer; grand-niece, Adalyn; and a soon to be grand-nephew, Jacob, who will be part of this world in January.
     All those who ever met Karen are better off for having met her. Once you met her, you were changed forever, because she was filled with love and enthusiasm and she made you a better person.
     A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home.
