Kenneth J. Pond

     Kenneth J. Pond, 65, of Rauchtown, passed away June 13, 2024 at his home.

     Born May 27, 1959 in Waverly, NY, he was a son to the late Howard Pond and the former Florence Hoyles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, William and Ruth Jameson.

     Kenneth was a graduate of Sayre High School and continued on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army. He worked for Sperry Rail and retired from Upstate Dairy (Valley Farms Dairy) after 34 years of service. He enjoyed tending to his garden by his greatest love was spending time with his family.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, the former Linda S. Jameson; his son, Josh (Kortney) Pond; grandsons, Sullivan and Maximus; and three brothers, Charlie, Gary (Leann) and Jack Pond.

     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. June 19, 2024 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 18 at Welker Funeral Home. Pastor Max Furman will officiate.

     He will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
