Laura Elizabeth (Cline) Caroccia, 91, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Dec. 22, 2022.
Born Aug. 21, 1931, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of Winfield and Margaret (Ritter) Cline. On July 23, 1952, she married Philip Caroccia, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2003.
Laura graduated from the Jersey Shore Area High School in 1949. She was a homemaker, who was fond of saying her job was taking care of her family. She loved nature and the outdoors, and had a special fondness for the Pine Creek area. She was also a talented cake decorator, and made many special occasion cakes for local events.
She was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Jersey Shore, where she had also participated in the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are four daughters, Lori (Kenneth) Baier, of Williamsport; Toni (Carl) Stone, of Jersey Shore; Sara (Kevin) McGough, of Bath; and Mari (William) Dewald, of Montoursville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include a sister, Karen Fletcher, of Danville; and a brother, Fred Cline, of Curwensville; as well as several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twin daughters, Gay Caroccia-Reynolds and Gail Sweeley. She was also predeceased by an infant sister, Connie Cline; sisters, Martha Callahan, Marian "Mary Lou" Ripka; and a brother, Winfield "Joe" Cline.
In keeping with Laura’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Saint Luke’s Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave., Jersey Shore. Burial will follow in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
