Lois A. Kline, 88, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her home, where she was born and lived her entire life.
Born December 26, 1936, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late Herman Mencer and the former Mildred Beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kline, in 2020.
Lois attended Broad Street Elementary School and graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1954. She took secretarial classes at Williamsport Community College, then joined the family feed and farm business, which later transitioned to Mencer's TV and Appliances, located on Market Street.
Lois was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in all of their events. She served on the board of elections for many years and was very active in local Women's and Garden Clubs. She is survived by her sons, Barry L. Kline of Jersey Shore and Bruce W. (Marilyn) Kline of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was laid to rest beside her beloved husband and parents in Jersey Shore Cemetery, surrounded by cherished memories and the love of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held sometime in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jersey Shore (236 S. Main Street, Jersey Shore, 17740) in her honor.
Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. www.welkerfuneralhome.com
