Lucy A. Bloom, 79, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Nippenose Valley Village.
Born March 23, 1947 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late George A. Schurer and the former Marguerite C. Shuhler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Bloom on October 28, 2022, and her son, Robert C. Bloom on September 12, 2018.
Lucy was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a 1965 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and worked as a Librarian for the school district for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Randall W. (Kim), of York, Guy R. (Lisa), of Memphis, TN, Rick C. (Lisa), of Collomsville, Dan V. (Sarah), of Avis, and Chris (Kelsey), of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Reece, Galen, Hunter, Addison, Owen, Wentworth and Cassidie; a great-grandchild, Mylah; a brother, Gene Schurer; and a sister, Mary Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Rd, Williamsport, PA 17702. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
