Marcella Ann "Bushie" Lorson, 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her home.
Born Aug. 17, 1935 in Williamsport, she was a daughter to the late Frank Stachowski and the former Martha Potzrebowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lorson; brothers, Paul and Charles Stachowski; and three sisters, Florence Zaydell, Caroline Hoover and Betty Tempesco.
Bushie, along with her loving husband, John, owned A.P. Lorson Fruit Farm for 55 years. She was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Bastress. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, who touched the lives of so many with her kindness and unwavering faith. Bushie always made her loved ones feel valued and cherished, making every grandchild feel as if they were her favorite! Bushie's legacy of love and faith that she leaves behind will be forever cherished.
Though we grieve her loss, we take comfort in knowing that Bushie is now with her Lord and Savior, where she will experience eternal peace and joy.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John E. Lorson; children, Anthony M. (Barb) Lorson, of Linden, Richard D. (Kathy) Lorson, of Meyersdale, Susan P. (Jeff) Miller, of Jersey Shore, Pamela C. (Dan) Lazorka, of Williamsport, Lori A. (Dwayne) Day, of Mechanicsburg, Kenneth G. (Kim) Lorson, of Big Flats, N.Y., Michele E. (Dave) Schall, of Williamsport, Randy J. (Esther) Lorson, of Williamsport, Barry T. Lorson, of Loganton, Cynthia M. Peacock, of Williamsport, Vicki E. (Kurt) Brungard, of Williamsport, and Jennifer L. (Matt) Allis of Williamsport; 43 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kris Akey, of Williamsport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport. Times of visitation will be held at 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Father Bert Kozen will officiate.
