Marvene M. Berry, 98, of Williamsport, formerly of Salladasburg, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at her home.
Born July 29, 1921 in Montgomery, she was the daughter to the late Benjamin Murphy and the former Dolly Tilburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings, and her husband, Harold F. Berry, on Jan. 17, 1964. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1945.
Marvene was a member of the Salladasburg United Methodist Church. For many years she was the Judge of Elections in Salladasburg and was in the Election Hall of Fame. Over the years, she was employed by the Salladasburg and Williamsport post offices, and later retired from Cobblers in Jersey Shore.
Surviving is her daughter, Linda L. Haag of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Denny E. (Ann) Haag of Williamsport, and Lisa L. Simmons of Williamsport; seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation. Services will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Fairview Cemetery in Montgomery.
