Mary M. Hendricks

     Mary M. Hendricks, 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.

     Born Nov. 9, 1933 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Roscoe “Mike” Harris and the former Anna Smith. She was a hardworking lady. Employed by Lesco Sewing factory, GTE Sylvania before retiring from Liberty Mutal. 

     Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and working in her yard, but most of all she was very proud to have lived in Jersey Shore. She was a regular member of the Borough Council Meetings and served on the Children and Youth Committee.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joann Harris; a grandson, Peter Harris; four brothers, James, John (Joan) Ronald and Chester Harris; and two sisters, Elizabeth Marshall and Nancy (Dave).

     She is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Clete) Schuler of Trout Run and Cathy Hendricks of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Brandon Thompson and Amber Rzeplinski; a sister Helen (Robert) Brown; sister-in-law, Diane Harris and brother-in-law Thomas Marshall. Her extended family, Dr. Rajesh Patel and his wife, Varsha, Dr. Sahil Patel and Dr. Suhag Patel, Brian Edwards and Chuck Smith.

     Mary will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
