Patricia M. King

     Patricia M. King, 82, of Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

     Born May 10, 1940 in Williamsport, she was born to the late Francis S. King Sr. and the former Mabel Hauser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Francis Jr, Glen, Barbara and James. Her youngest brother, Don is still telling stories.

     Whether you knew her as Pat, Mom, Meme, or as the mountain of nieces and nephews called her fondly, "mean ol Aunt Pat," she lived each day as her last, and always brought a smile to your face. She lived and loved for her family and friends.  She enjoyed a cocktail as long as it wasn't her own, she just wanted to try half of yours. She loved to dance, and she had an undying love for Elvis, the King in her wouldn't let it rest. She will be remembered by anyone who ever encountered her.

     She is survived by two children, Kathleen M. Brooks (David Matter), of Linden, and Carol L. (Greg) Glover, of Montoursville; 4 grandchildren, Brittany A Brooks, Jesse J. Brooks, Jasmine M. Norton, and Kimberly A. Glover; 2 great-grandchildren, Sylas and Kaeda; and a brother, Donald E. King of Vilonia, Alaska.

    She welcomed those closest each and every morning with a simple statement,  "good morning sunshine." Now, we welcome her with the morning sun.

     A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Johnson Residence, 1328 Kellyburg Rd., Trout Run, PA.
