Patsy V. Lorson

     Patsy V. Lorson, 85, of Nippenose Valley, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at UPMC Susquehanna.

     Born January 2, 1940 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Fred Garrett and the former Ocie Elizabeth Beaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern A. Lorson, they were united in marriage on August 9, 1958; a granddaughter, LeeAnn Lorson; and her siblings, Dean Cranmer, William Garrett, Helen Mantle and Madeline Getgen.

     Patsy was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Bastress, where she volunteered her time in the social hall for many years. She was also a member of the St. Annás Society and the Share Bit Club. She enjoyed baking and loved supporting her children and grandchildren in various sporting events.

     She is survived by her twin children, Fred L. Lorson (Jenny) of Jersey Shore and Sherry E. Buttorff (Keith) of Nippenose Valley, other children, and Doug J. Lorson of Nippenose Valley and Barb A. Hollinger (Robert) of York Haven; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Rd, Williamsport. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 28 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

     She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com.
