Ralph D. Mantle

     Ralph D. Mantle, 98, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Williamsport Home.

     Born September 14, 1925 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Alfred Mantle and the former Edna Laubach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen Breon; a son, Terry Mantle; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

     Ralph was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and attended Williamsport Technical for a mechanics certificate. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Ralph enjoyed biking and hunting. He attended Larryville United Methodist Church for many years.

     He is survived by his son, Larry (Barbara) Mantle; daughter-in-law, Dolores Mantle; grandchildren, Greg Mantle, Kellee (Eric) Edlin, Ralph (Holly) Mantle, Morgan (Doug) Zeiders, Susan (Shawn) Sutherland and Jeffrey (Bobbi Jo) Vilello; great-grandchildren, Thatcher, Carol, Mckenna, Peyton, Grant, Emelia, Ben and Remmy; and two sisters, Marjorie Lee and Carol Straub.

     A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be at 12 noon until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. He'll be laid to rest next to his wife in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Pastor Greg Sanford will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
