Robert W. Brooks

     Robert W. Brooks, 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
     Born March 16, 1933 in Lemont, Pa., he was a son to the late Emmett Brooks and the former Mary Bloom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 7 siblings.
     Robert honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Most days you would find him sitting on his front porch enjoying the day.
     He is survived by his loving wife, Janice E. Brooks; children, Joseph Brooks of Williamsport, Cathy Brooks of McElhattan, and Jeff (Amy) Brooks of Avis; grandchildren, Christine (Richard) Brooks-Taitt, and Brittney (Dave) Worden; and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Ava.
     Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Visiting time will be held at 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
