Robert L. "Slim" Edkin, 81, of Salladasburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020 at The Gatehouse.
Born May 20, 1939 in Williamsport, he was the son to the late August L. Edkin and the former Jennie Mae Hoffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former A.J. Ludwig and a daughter, Shannon Fanning.
Slim was a member of the Knights Hunting Club, the Tiadaghton Sportsmans Club, Larrys Creek and Citizens House Company 45. For many years, he had worked at Smuf-Fit Stone as their supervisor.
He is survived by sons, Timothy L. (Wendy) Edkin of Montgomery, Jerold N. (Kelly) Ross of Salladasburg, Adam J. (Kristi) Ross of Jersey Shore, and Kevin Fanning of Jersey Shore; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
