Robert S. Elder Sr.

     Robert S. Elder Sr., 87, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Gatehouse. 

     Born January 17, 1938 in Lewistown, he was the son to the late Herman Elder and the former Ida Beeley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Peggy J. Welker on July 4, 2021. 

     Bob honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a life member of the South Williamsport Moose Lodge and also a member of the Newberry United Methodist Church. He worked as an Inspector for the Bureau of Labor and Industries for many years. 

     He is survived by a son, Robert S. (Krista) Elder II, of Williamsport; daughters, Kimberly K. (Steve) Boguslaw and Robin Ann (Kevin) Hannan, both of Williamsport; stepdaughter, Joy L. Yetter, of Lewistown; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 step grandchildren. 

     A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
