Robert Bryan Rummings, of Pine Creek, died Feb. 7, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport surrounded by his family.
Robert "Bob" was born on Jan. 12, 1937, in Clearfield. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Crystal (Smetlzer) Rummings.
Bob graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1955 and started his working life at a very young age. He drove truck for his uncle at Rummings Flagstone and then continued driving as an independent truck driver for 60 years. He also quarried flagstone with his father and cousins.
One of Bob’s favorite places was Slate Run, where he would deer hunt and trout fish.
Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Jody Pennycoff.
He is survived by his daughters, Vicky Murray (Thomas), Cindy Alexander (Daniel Frazier), and Tammy Thompson; seven grandchildren, Heidi Derrick, Jan Oechler, Jared Kohler, Alexis Falzone, Allyson Cameron, Valerie Corbin, and Olivia Pagon; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The burial and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be a celebration of life luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Gamble Farm Inn, 311 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd., Lock Haven.
Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
