Ruth A. Danneker, 85, of Limestone Township, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2022 at her home.
Born Jan. 18, 1937 in Collomsville, she was a daughter to the late Frederick Miller and the former Catherine Lorson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward F. Miller Sr.; and a grandson, Adam Snyder.
Ruth was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Bastress. For many years she was a religious education teacher, a Eucharistic minister, and a literacy tutor at the James V. Brown Library. She was the founder of the 24 hour adoration and a member of the St. Ann's Society.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence D. Danneker Jr.; sons, Stephen C. (Betsy) Danneker, of Jersey Shore and Edward M. (Stacy) Danneker, of Williamsport; daughters, Mary Kay (Ross Jr.) Hawn, of Mansfield, Lucinda M. (Kent) Snyder, of Montoursville, Theresa M. (Ronald) Canada, of Manchester, Tenn., and Clarissa D. Morgan, of Williamsport; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Warren (Josette) Miller of Williamsport and Joseph Miller of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Edna Rogers of Williamsport.
Visitation hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with a Vigil Service at 4:45 p.m. and a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, PA 17702. Father Bert Kozen will officiate.
She will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
