Ruth J. (Hevner) Herlocher

     Ruth J. Herlocher, 91, of Addison, NY, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
     Born July 15, 1930 at her family home in Beech Creek, she was a daughter to the late James Hevner and the former Mary Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by death by her husband, Edward M. Herlocher on October 28, 1985, they were united in marriage on September 7, 1952. Also preceding her in death was a son, Edward M. Herlocher II; brothers, Donald and Thomas Hevner; sisters, Shirley Rishel, Mariam Hanely, Helen Bowman, Martha Bowman, Alice Butler, Ruby Morton, Margaret Young,and Frances Shady;  son in law, Linford Parker; and a daughter in law, Debra Herlocher; 
     She retired from Corning Glass in 1994 after 20 years of service. She was a Yankees fan, enjoyed country music, singing, cooking, and being with her family.
     She is survived by two sons, Clair L. Herlocher, of Morris Run, PA and Wayne A. (Donna) Herlocher of Woodhull, NY; three daughters, Linda S. Parker of West Field, PA, Valerie A. Kirby of Tampa, FL and Nancy C. Carr of Jonesboro, GA; grandchildren, Kurtis, Kristen, Daniel, Amy, Eric, Zeth, and Lindsay;ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy (Ken) Dickey and Trudy Masden.

     The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at CareFirst Hospice, for their exceptional care and support shown to Ruth and family. 
     Friends and family may call from 2-5 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St, Jersey Shore. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Fairview Cemetery in Loganton.
