Sarah A. Welshans

     Sarah A. Welshans, 85, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home.

     Born May 16, 1937 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Albert Wise and the former Hazel Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Welshans on February 9, 2015. They were united in marriage on March 19, 1955. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Barbara J. and Carol L. Welshans; and her siblings, Albert Wise Jr., Robert Wise, Alta Wise Embick, Rebecca Wise Campeau, Maxine Wise Felmy, Phyllis Rinker, Mary Wise and Sharon Wise.

     Sarah retired from C.A. REED after many years of service. She was very devoted to her loving family.

     She is survived by two daughters, Terry L. (Clarence) Lannan, of Avis, and Maxine A. (Robert) Grimm, of Loganton; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
