Shirley Louise (Monks) Peck, of Loyalsock Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born in Jersey Shore in 1931, she was the daughter of Milford and Ethel Monks.
A communicant of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Williamsport for 70 years, she loved her Jesus. She was a wonderful caregiver for many family members. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the first to help others with rides, money contributions, and a great listening ear. Shirley was an avid gardener and a meticulous home keeper.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Joe Alberti. She had 5 grandchildren (Steve and Danielle-thank you) and many adorable great-grandchildren. She had 3 sisters and a brother. She loved being a part of of all their lives and helping them. Laughter was a big part of our lives. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charlie; son, Steve; sister, Bev; and great-grandson, Colin.
Loving graditude to Karen Nittinger, a special neighbor and friend for her care many years. Ed and Monica Siddle were always there when needed. Pastor Carol Johnson continued to minister to her until she passed. Thank you to the staff at Edenbrook North for their care and comfort over the past four years. Shirley was a beautiful soul; inside and out. She will live in our hearts forever. Thank you, Mom, for all your sacrifices to us all. You will be so missed.
Services are private. Donations can be sent to CHOP Child Life Development, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104, in her memory and also Colin Alberti. Buy your grandchildren something special, because she was the best Mom and Gram ever!
Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
