Stephen Zwald Obituary


     Stephen W. Zwald, 57, of Jersey Shore, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022.
     Born March 22, 1965 in Ridgway, he was a son to John "Bob" Zwald and the former Margaret "Peg" Wachter.
     Steve was a member of Hope River Church, Avis American Legion Post 284, and the Jersey Shore American Legion Riders Post 36. For many years, he worked at the Jersey Shore Cemetery. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Amy L. Weidler; his mother, Peg; children, Jacob Zwald (Alyssa Keller), of Mill Hall and Reece Zwald (Bryce Bason), of Mill Hall; three grandchildren, Annistyn, Hadley, and Lincoln; three brothers; sister-in-law, Connie Welshans; best friend, Tim Willits (Rosetta); his dog, Ruger; and several nieces and nephews.
     A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. The Rev. Dean Olson will officiate.
     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hope River Church, PO Box 872, Jersey Shore, PA 17740 or the Jersey Shore American Legion Riders,320 Seminary St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
