Susan Jane Meyerhoeffer

     Susan Jane Meyerhoeffer, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 at the Nippenose Valley Village.
     She was born Jan. 11, 1950, in Elizabethtown.
     Sue is proceeded in death by her husband, Bruce Meyerhoeffer; her parents, Glenn Farver and Evelyn (Zerphy); two brothers, Richard Farver and Sonny (Glenn) Farver; and two nephews, Tim Farver and Darrel Shelly; and her father- and mother-in-law, Verlon and Marthalynn Meyerhoffer.
     Surviving her is two daughters, Amy Sue (Matthew) Bee, of Greenville, and Jennifer Marie (Scott) Aldinger, of Morris; five grandchildren, Alexandra Aldinger, Ethan Aldinger, Madison Bee, Luke Aldinger and Jonah Bee; a sister, Linda (Galen) Shelly, of Elizabethtown; and a brother, Douglas (Debra) Farver, of Elizabethtown.
     Sue is a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, '67, where she enjoyed playing field hockey. She had worked at Reese Candy Company for 20 years and ManorCare of ten years.
     You couldn't have met a more fun loving and generous lady. She was often know to pick up stray animals.
     She was a member of Cedar Run Baptist Church. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Ocean City, Md. Her favorite thing to do was spending time in the mountains. You could often find her (and Bruce) hunting, hiking and snow mobiling. They also enjoyed fishing and tubing down the Pine Creek. Sue and Bruce camped at Petticoat Junction Campground for 18 years until they bought a home in Slate Run. They were Penn State Season ticket holders for over 30 years.
     The family would like to offer a heartfelt "Thank you" to the staff and administration at Nippenose Valley Village. She loved them all very much.
     A private memorial service will be held Nov. 23 in Mount Joy. An addition memorial service will be held in January, service details will be announced at a later date.
