Thomas E. Maines Sr.

     Thomas E. Maines Sr., 73, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Gatehouse surrounded by his loving family.

     Born November 23, 1950 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Alden and Ruth Maines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

     Thomas honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lions Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed attending the dirt track races to watch his son and grandsons and following Jersey Shore Bullldogs football team.

     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Pamela Ann Miles; three sons, Thomas "Toby" Maines Jr. (Traci), Mark Walker and Wade Walker, all of Jersey Shore; daughter, Lisa Osgood, of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Britnee Potter (Anthony), Coty Maines (Skylar), Jon Houtz and Mia Houtz; Great Granddaughter Braya Potter;  and several nieces and nephews.

     A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, followed by full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.  A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Welker Funeral Home. 

     The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rose View Nursing Center and the Gatehouse for their exceptional care.
