Wayne C. Hurlbutt

     Wayne C. Hurlbutt, 74, of Jersey Shore, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home.

     Born October 5, 1949 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Cornelius Hurlbutt and the former Rosella Koch.

     Wayne was a 1967 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Wire Rope after many years of service, and was currently a self employed contractor. Wayne was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion, V.F.W., and the Moose.

     He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth H. Miller, of Avis, Vesta L. Hurlbutt, of Charleston, WV, and Samantha L. Hurlbutt, of Jersey Shore; a son, Ryan N. Hurlbutt, of Charleston, WV; his companion, Deborah K. Miller, of Jersey Shore; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordon Hurlbutt, of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Christine Hurlbutt, of Jersey Shore.

    A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge, 203 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

    Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
