William E. Kane Sr.

     William E. Kane Sr., 84, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his home.

     Born April 14, 1940 in Williamsport, he was a son to the late Lewis Kane and the former Margaret Saar. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Kane; brothers, Jack and Larry Kane; and a sister, Jane Hess.

     For many years, William worked as a sub contractor and dry wall finisher.

     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Lillian G. Hughes; two sons, Kelly L. (Patti) Kane, of Jersey Shore and William E. Kane Jr., of Lock Haven; daughter, Kim A. (Jim) Kane, of Burlington, NC; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

     A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Welker Funeral Home. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com
