Wilmer J. "Jim" Stevenson, 68, of Cogan Station, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Gatehouse.
Born May 13, 1953 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Wilmer J. Stevenson and the former Louise Peluso. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Embick and Mary Jane Embick.
Jim was a member of the State Road United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, but his greatest love of all was his family.
He is survived by his wife, the former Karen A. Sitler, they were united in marriage on April 6, 1974; two daughters, Martha L. (Frank) Spring of Williamsport and Cathy L. (William) McAnelly of Williamsport; 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Kendall and Emily; a brother, John Stevenson of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Martha Ohl of Walnutport, Pa.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
Family will provide flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made in his name to the State Road United Methodist Church, 7500 Daughertys Run Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.
