Frederick B. "Toby" Welker

Toby is the Supervisor and licensed Funeral Director at the funeral home. He and his wife, Donna, purchased the then Kelchner Funeral Home in 1983 and raised three daughters together, Hannah, Heidi and Abbey.

He was a 1973 graduate of Lock Haven High School, was a Biology major at Lock Haven University and a 1980 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Church of Saint Luke in Jersey Shore, Labelle Vallee Lodge Lodge 232 F&AM in Jersey Shore, the Knights of Columbus in Jersey Shore, Jersey Shore Lions Club, Central Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. His memberships also include the Avis American Legion Post 284, Jersey Shore V.F.W. Post 5859, Jersey Shore Moose Lodge #214 and the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge #1057.

Toby is a proud Pap to Leah, Dawson, Mario and Ledger. He enjoys golfing with his daughter, is an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan, and enjoys snowmobiling and hunting. After being involved in the Jersey Shore Bulldogs Football program for many years, he continues to be an avid supporter and never misses a Bulldog game.

Licensed Funeral Director

Abbey is a licensed Funeral Director following in her fathers footsteps. Growing up, she had various chores with her sisters throughout the funeral home and helped her Dad with monument and cemetery work. She was a 2007 graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School, was a Social Work Major at Lock Haven University and was a 2012 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. 

She has been a life member of the Church of Saint Luke in Jersey Shore, also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club in Jersey Shore, the Jersey Shore Lioness Club, Central Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. Her memberships also include the Avis American Legion Post 284, Jersey Shore V.F.W. Post 5859, Jersey Shore Moose Lodge #214 and the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge #1057.

Abbey is also a member of the Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital Advisory Board.

She served as the first female Mayor in the Borough of Jersey Shore and was also a former member of the Jersey Shore Recreation Committee.

Abbey resides in Piatt Township with her husband, Joshua Yoas, and their three dogs, Leo, Wendy and Tootie. Along with her father, she is an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, kayaking, fishing and golfing.
