   James D. Dieter, 45, of Avis, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by family and loved ones.
   Born August 24, 1972 in Bristol, PA, he was the son to Sandra E. (Gary) Kyle of Jersey Shore and William C. (Patricia) Dieter, Jr. of Yardley, PA.
   James was an outdoors man and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed reading about history and listening to music. He was an avid fan of Penn State and the Oakland Raiders. James had an infectious smile and enjoyed making people laugh. He made friends wherever he went and to know him was to love him.
   Surviving are his wife, the former Erin Hunter; two daughters, Dakota K. Dieter of Avis and Olivia S. Ulmer of Newberry; a sister, Denise Dieter (Mark Lusk) of Jersey Shore; his niece, Bryce Hillyard of Jersey Shore; step sister, Stacy (Scott) Sturgeon of New Bloomfield; grandmother, Delores Ribarchik of Collomsville; 14 aunts and uncles; and 44 cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his brother, William James Dieter on December 8, 2016.
   Friends and family may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Crossroads Community Church, 1454 Rt 44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740, followed by a short memorial service at 6 p.m. at Crossroads.
   The family invites all to join them for a Celebration of James’ life immediately following the service on Saturday evening, April 14 at the Gamble Farm Inn, 311 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
