    Larry D. "Swede" Harrow, 82, of Jersey Shore, died Sunday March 17, 2019, at his home.
    Born Nov. 11, 1936 in Williamsport he was the son to the late Carl V. Harrow and the former Mary Barto. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Harrow, and sisters, Kathryn Harrow and Doris (Cooney) Buhl.
    He was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School. During the Korean War, Swede honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1998 Swede retired as plant superintendent of the Jersey Shore Steel Company after 38 years of service.
    Swede was a life member of the Jersey Shore Elks, VFW and the American Legion. He also was a member of the Labelle Vallee Lodge 232 F&AM in Jersey Shore.
    Swede is survived by his loving wife, the former Elaine K. Hazen, they were united in marriage July 25, 1958. Also surviving are a son, Karl (Denise) Harrow; a grandson, Damon (Lisa) Flick; a granddaughter, Melisa Flick; two great-grandchildren, Devon and Lindsey Flick; nephew, Tomas (Debra) Cooney; and a niece, Mary Kathryn (Cooney) Harpel.
    Private burial will be held in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
