Music by The Piano Brothers

Mary Louise Coran, 90, of Montoursville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2019.
Born on March 18, 1929, in West Pittston, Mary (the former Mary Louise Tomasacci) was the daughter of the late Stefano and Angelina Recene Tomasacci. She was married to the love of her life, Daniel T. Coran Sr., on May 6, 1951, for 64 years until his passing on Nov. 20, 2015.
Mary worked as a waitress in New York City at a young age, and later in several factories and as a Children's day care worker. She was known for her phenomenal Italian cooking and baking, and for her warm hospitality. When visiting, you were not allowed to leave her home without eating (mangiare). She was a gifted pianist and lover of fashion (matching purse with high heels). Mary was also strong in her faith in God and had attended the Faith Fellowship Worship Center in Jersey Shore, as well as other area churches.
Surviving are three sons, John S. (Robin) Coran, of Castle Rock, Colo., Daniel T. (Deborah) Coran Jr., of Jersey Shore, and the Rev. Stephen M. (Dilonna) Coran, of Jersey Shore; and a daughter, Angela R. Coran, of Williamsport. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; one step-grandchild, eighteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Butler, of Mechanicsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Freda Richmond and Lydia Conroy, and a brother, Richard Tomasacci. She was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Liam Grove.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation and viewing on Thursday evening, June 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A celebration of Mary’s life will take place on Friday, June 14, at 11 a.m., at the Welker Funeral Home with her son, the Rev. Stephen Coran officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Fellowship Worship Center, 216 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
